Universal Truths

We are hopeless, we are desperate. Desperate for love, aimless in our search. Desperate for understanding, misguided frequencies. Desperate for meaning, desperate for permanence. We are exploited because we are desperate, because we are hopeless. We throw out our hands at anything that will provide us with a glimpse of acknowledgement, fame, or validation. We want everything; we value nothing.  We are garbage. We crave and desire. We are powered by domination. We are animals, yet convince ourselves we are no longer savages. Higher intelligence, when wasted or used for exploitation, is no longer a distinguishing characteristic of superiority or greater worth, instead it’s no better than physical dominance. We are selfish. We are pious egoists. There is nothing higher than ourselves that can stymie our progression. We invented God. If He were real, the world would be a different place; a better place. If Heaven and Hell truly existed, man’s rational nature justifies fear. Any humanity that exists in this world derives itself from interconnectedness, love, and nature. It serves to give hope to the hopeless, leverage for the powerful, and peace to the dying. We all use God for our own reasons, rarely do we use him for the sake of others. We devote our lives to money. The Protestant work ethic is alive and well. “God forgives all” – the lie we tell ourselves to justify selfish behavior. Sociopaths rule the world. We accept these as truths. We must not. We have the power to write our own narrative. Let’s lay everything on the table. Be honest with ourselves, for the first time in our entire life. Honesty is everything.
